  • Fahlin 4 bladed Test Club ID

Can anyone help me identify what engine this test club is for? I have a Fahlin 4 bladed test club with the Fahlin # R-791 stamped in it along with a serial number and R-670-4 stamped underneath that. It has 8 bolt holes in the hub. I was told that is is for a 220 Continental for a Stearman, but I thought that only had 6 bolt holes and that engine is a W-670 not an R-670 if memory serves. Googling Fahlin props gives a nice table with part numbers but the list stps short of this number,

Also, does anyone know of a source for a Fahlin decal and were they supposed to be on the blades of the test clubs?

    Thanks,
    Frank

The R-670-4 is a radial engine made by Continental Motors. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continental_R-670

Thanks Lamar; looks like the 220 Continental had 2 designations, R-670 or W-670. Never knew that; thanks.

Does anybody know if the Fahlin test clubs had a decal on each blade and if so where I might be able to find some?

I also confirmed that engine uses an 8 hole mounting flange.
