  • Black Wooden Propellers

I have inherited four wooden propellers and would like to know the orgin of them. Here are the specs:

U.S. Propellers Inc., Los Angeles, CA
    Length - 96"
    DES - 96LG98
    SER - 1533
    RPM - 1925
    HP - 220

I also found the number 11555 on the hub and US 2125.

They are black with what seems to be brass edging and tips painted yellow.

There also seems to be fabric glued to the leading edge.

Any ideas?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, Jeff

Unfortunately Jeff, to my knowledge no lists of prop application exist for US Propellers. If anyone has one I would certainly appreciate it if you would let me know.

All we have is the DOT list from 1983 that has the certificated U.S. Propeller design numbers and Type Certificates, but doesn't identify the aircraft it might have been used on.

U.S. Propellers also made a number of UAV props, although clearly this is not one of them.
