View Full Version : Trying to identify my wooden propeller

This appears to be an oak propeller with 8 bolt holes. 100 " long and 7 1/4 widest point on the blade. 4 " thick with 7 layers of wood. Found the # 400 on the side and 29 or 28 on the front of it near the bolt holes. I will attach some pics, the blade seems straighter than those in the american wooden props, so I'm not sure what I have here...any info is much appreciated.

Looks to be the right size and shape for an OX5 engine. See this reference (http://www.woodenpropeller.com/Hubmeasure.html) regarding hub measurements, which can help you narrow down the engine.

Probably a toothpick (http://woodenpropeller.com/JN4toothpick.html), quite commonly used on aircraft like the JN4 "Jenny".

What are those props worth without the hub? and would you have a hub I could buy that would fit it?
