Hello All,

I am working on getting the 1910 Boulevard Engine working (see "Showing Off" forum) and do not want to spin a 96 year old piece of wood even on a test stand at 1000 rpm. Is there anyone out there that can reproduce the original with new wood and modern glue.

This is purely exploratory at this point since I am still considering putting on a smaller test club for running the engine. Any pointer on test clubs? My feeling is that the moment of inertia should be same as the propeller and that pitch can be set to give a reasonable load. I would like to load it down to about 10 HP at 1000 RMP to start and eventually go to its rated 25 HP at 1200 RPM. Perhaps making a club with settable pitch is the way to go. Or perhaps using settable drag vanes on a simple base prop would work.

I'd suggest contacting Chad Wille at St. Croix Propellers (http://stcroix.50webs.com/).
