  • US Propeller, INC Los Angeles, Ca

I am trying to identify a large wooden prop that my nephew salvaged. It is placarded by US Propeller Inc with the following markings stamped on it.
    DES-96LG 98
    SN11803
    RPM 1925
    HP 220
the prop is about 9' long so it would apprear to be on a very large tail dragger or maybe a pusher?
I wonder if this is enough data to fix the year used, and the aircraft most likely to have used it?
    Thank you

Unfortunately, we have yet to find any comprehensive listing of U.S. Propellers drawing numbers as they relate to aircraft/engine usage.

I did find that the Propeller Type Certificate number is TC798, but I'm not sure that there is any record of what aircraft that may apply to.

You can't really infer pusher/tractor or tailwheel/tricycle use by the size or design of the propeller.
