  • DH94 Moth Minor Prop drswings

I am building a large scale model of the DH 94 Moth minor. I want to carve a scale prop and would ike to know if anyone has a drawing of this prop. The same prop was used on the Tiger Moth and most DH aircraft powered by a Gypsy MAjor engine. Ant help in locating thease drawing would me most appreciated.
    Thanks

Drawings in general seem very hard to come by, but you never know. Most people who make reproductions end up using existing props as templates.

      thanks

Thanks Dave, The model I am doing is 1/4 scale so the prop would be about 18". I have lots of photos but a drawing would make things easier. I want to laminate the blank.
I will see what comes up.

        Tom,

Most Moths used similar props and many were made by the Airscrew Co of Great Britain. I guess that any Moth prop, and several appear on eBay quite often, would show you the shape and the number of laminations.

        With kind regards,

          Moth Propeller

          Thanks Bob,

I have some good photos of the full size prop. I would like some drawings so that I can plan the carving process. I have a friend who is preparing the laminations. I just need the actual dimensions. I guess I could go back to the Full size airplane and do some measurements.
          Thanks Again
