  • Prop identification

    I have a wooden propeller, most likely modern and European, dark wood with a brass(?) leading edge riveted to the timber.

    Length = 239cm (7"10")
    Hub thickness = 15cm (5.9")
    Hub dia = 21cm (8.25")
    Hole dia = 8cm (3.14")
    Attachment holes - 8
    Attachment hole ring dia = 17cm (6.7")
    Attachment hole dia = 1.3cm (0.5")
    Chord at 33% radius and 50% radius is 20cm (7.8")

    The prop is almost unmarked except for two faint ovals about 1.2cm x 1.6cm, one on the hub containing the the characters 1K or IK, the other on the blade root containing the characters 0N (I think). In addition on the hub at the edge of the hole is what appears to be the number 12.

    I have tried to measure the pitch but I'm not sure how successful that exercise has been as I appear to get different values at different positions along its length - 1.2m (3'10") at 33% from centre and 1.4m (4'9") at 50% length.

    Any insight would be gratefully received.
