Help for the Air Force

I am a historian w/ the USAF and we have two propeller's we are trying to identify. The first is a WW I era and the SN attached is AC 27-288.

The second is smaller (WW II era) and has 13841 SS.

We'd definitely need more information, and probably pictures.

The first numbers don't sound typical for WWI stampings, but that's one of the reasons more info is needed.
