  • Max M. Monk proppller

I have a wooden proppller with only a serial no. and patent no.The patent was issued to Dr. Max M. Monk on Oct. 11,1949. I would like to find out who manufactured it and if it was standard on any aircraft. There are other numbers stamped but I have no reference as to what they mean. Patent no.2484308, Ser581, the others are stamped one over the other 2TC872 and 76CE65. Can any one help? Thank You! bluesking90@yahoo.com

The TC872 is the Type Certificate number, and the drawing number 76CE65 likely refers to the diameter in inches (76), the pitch in inches (65). However, since this appears to be something other than standard manufacture, it's also possible that the CE65 refers to a 65 HP Continental engine, which many of the other "76C " models from Sensenich used.
