  • Hartzell prop id

Hartzell has no record in their archives about our Hartzell walnut propeller serial #15926 with a number 2 on the hub. The hub has 8 bolts and the propeller length is 83.5 inches with nickle on the leading edges. The propellor was purchased in 1980 from a man who said a relative of his found it intact somewhere in the backwoods of Alaska. There are some burn marks on one end of the prop. Is the number 2 a model or design number or does it represent something else? I will attempt to send photos. Any help would be appreciated. Propgirl

The number 2 typically would just be to designate that blade, usally with number 1 stamped on the other.

I might be able to find a rererence to that serial number next week.

Thanks, Dave. I've just now looked back at this site since last posting a question. Have you had any luck with referencing the serial number? Propgirl
