Mystery Propeller

Hello:

I am new to the forum.

I have a propeller that I think is from the WWI era. I looked at the pictures on the website and I didn't see any that are similar to mine.

There is no manufacturer decal or name stamp on the prop. There is a small "45" stamped on it near the center.

There are 12 names painted on the left blade. On the hub, "WE HONOR THESE BOYS NOW IN SERVICE" "UNITED WORKERS ASSN." is painted.

I don't think this propeller was ever used on a plane but was probably hanging somewhere in a factory during war time.

Also included is a wooden hub and shaft painted silver.

Does anyone have an idea who manufactured this propellor and when?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From its general appearance I think it's more likely a "modern" style, most likely from the 30's or 40's.

The absence of drill holes for the hub implies that it was a manufacturing reject and found its way directly to the decorative utility category.
