This large propeller was most likely used on the TC class of dirigible in the late teens and early twenties. The early TC series was powered by two Wright 150 engines, which were US built copies of the Hisso engine.     This propeller is a particularly nice display propeller due to its scimitar shape and scalloped metal sheathing on the leading edges and tips.

Note:  Condition of wood is good to excellent, but the finish has been altered at some point.  I believe this was originally covered with fabric to a point just adjacent to the hub (You can see the transition area in the photo) and the area where the fabric was removed is not varnished but is rubbed with linseed oil.  Although generally it's best not to "restore" old propellers, this one has already been partially refinished, and further restoration would probably improve its appearance.

Wood:  Mahogany
Length:  8 feet, 6 inches
