Comments:  This 9 1/2 foot propeller was manufactured by Matthews Brothers Manufacturing Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the mid to late teens.  Thomas Hamilton was the manager there and included his name on the decals.  He later formed his own Company, Hamilton Propellers, which later merged with Standard Steel to become the gigantic Hamilton Standard Company, producing large numbers of propellers for commercial, military and general aviation to this day, now under the company name United Technologies.  The H 16 was one of the Navy's more successful twin engine flying boats, all models using the powerful Liberty 450 HP engine.  It used several propeller types, including a 4-blade version.
