Comments:  This 8 foot mahogany propeller was designed for use on one of the early Curtiss flying boats at Hammondsport, New York.  The stamped number, 11386, is referenced in a sales catalog from 1920 as being included in a sale of surplus propellers that were used on Curtiss Model F, model 40, and MF boats with a 100 HP OXX 3-6 engine. A remnant of a decal or other manufacturer's emblem is still present on one blade, but does not have any detail to determine the manufacturer.
